13th Lodz East Asia Meeting Power Shifts in East Asia: Prospects for Developing Asian-European Ties
We would like to invite you to 13th Lodz East Asia Meeting Power Shifts in East Asia: Prospects for Developing Asian-European Ties, co-organized by the Department of Asian Studies, University of Lodz, and the Polish International Studies Association. The event will take place at the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the University of Lodz on June 1-2, 2017. The keynote speech will be delivered by Professor Emil J. Kirchner from University of Essex.
Ever since its first edition in 2002, the Lodz East Asia Meeting has gathered scholars, researchers, and students from all disciplines that specialize in Asian studies. In the previous years, it was possible to invite international speakers as well as renowned specialists to take part in the conference. The 2017 conference will focus on the examination of power shifts in the political, economic and social landscape of the Asian continent, as well as their significance for Asian-European exchange. The selected papers will be published in the book series run by the Department of Asian Studies: Contemporary Asian Studies Series.
